WASHINGTON, D.C. (NEXSTAR) — President Donald Trump is increasingly labeling Democrats “communists” — a line of attack that returned after progressive candidate Abdul El-Sayed won Michigan’s Democratic Senate primary. Trump called El-Sayed a “communist loser” on social media, arguing the Democratic Party’s policies are becoming more extreme.

WASHINGTON, Aug 4 (Reuters) - Liberal Democrats now make up a clear majority of their party ​and view universal healthcare, greater abortion access and higher taxes on the rich as essential political positions, underscoring how Democrats have moved ‌leftward in recent years, according to a new Reuters/Ipsos poll.
